SOOC ~ Straight out of the Camera

Here are a few more photos that I took recently at the Botanical Gardens. These were in a new area and I had not noticed them before. They are absolutely gorgeous and very interesting looking.

Are these Lotus Flowers and not Water Lilies? I am not really sure and I was curious if any of you knew.

  1. Wow. I have no idea what these are but they are lovely. Is that thing that looks like a shower head some kind of seed pod or something? So cool.

  4. Those are definitely lotus blossoms. Water lilies tend to be right down on the water rather than up on a hgh stem, and the center of the blossom in your picture is already forming the classic lotus seed pod.

    Very beautiful shot.

  7. No clue from me as to what type of flower this is. I just call it a "purty flower".

  10. I was a little too slow and this weekends mantra of 'better late than never' didn't quite work for me. I missed Mr Linky

Glad I didn't miss the opportunity to drop by your place though.
I don't think I photographed too many flowers UNTIL I bought a macro lense...now I'm always looking for a bloom to capture :0)

    Lovely shots.

    Thanks for sharing
