Spunky found the big Acorn on the left walking home from the mailbox yesterday afternoon. None of us had ever seen an Acorn this big so it was really neat! I googled it and found out that Burr Oaks have Acorns this big and we have two of them on our street. It says squirrels love them, I can only imagine why!

Here are a few more photos that I took recently at the Botanical Gardens. These were in a new area and I had not noticed them before. They are absolutely gorgeous and very interesting looking.

Are these Lotus Flowers and not Water Lilies? I am not really sure and I was curious if any of you knew.

Today at the Botanical Gardens, I saw this Grasshopper hanging out on the beautiful flower below. I was amazed at how well the photo came out! :)

We have a big Cicada issue around here lately they are honestly driving me crazy with the loud noise they make in the trees. I found this little one by a tree in our front yard the ants had already gotten him. I find them very neat to look at as long as I do not have to hold them. lol

I love the way fire looks, it is just hypnotizing to me. I truly find it peaceful to gaze into, sometimes I feel myself getting lost and day dreaming while staring into it.

Our first experience covering strawberries and cherries in chocolate! The kids and I had SO much fun doing this together and being covered in chocolate, it was awesome. :)
