PhotoHunt: Metal

This week's PhotoHunt is Metal so I spent some time looking through my albums and I think I found one that works well! This is the one of the top parts of the USS Arizona sticking up out of the ocean in Pearl Harbor. I was fortunate enough to be able to go to Hawaii with my grandparents when I was 13yrs old and this one one of the many sites I was able to see. It was very touching to be so close to where so many soldiers passed.

  5. What an excellent entry, I am sorry I did not think of this, you do not know how many tears I shed when I visited the Arizona. my original photo post had some old farming iron and other farmhouse items, I added a second entry because of something I saw while visiting other photo hunts, please stop by both, happy easter

  15. I was in Hawaii in 2002 for a conference but missed going to Pearl Harbor. When I returned, I made sure to go. It was worth the our, the wait. I never really understood WWII until that visit. I remember this metal as I have a similar photo. Great shot.
