Tell Me Thursday

This week's WW photo was taken at a local park here in Austin that we visit quite regularly. It has a public pool, playground, hiking trail and a mid size pond. When I was growing up the pond was filled with ducks and Koi along with lily pads of all colors.

Now it is a murky green color with lots of moss and people seem not to realize there are trash cans, so there is trash everywhere. The other change is now instead of ducks there are tons of Red eared slider and Guadalupe Spiny soft shell turtles. We have started going every other day or so to help pick up some of the trash. That way we are doing our part to help the turtles and keep the park beautiful!

  1. Great photos and so nice of you to help keep the area clean ever week. Too bad people feel they can just throw their trash wherever - very sad!
