Monday Madness

So I am finally feeling better today! I still have a cough, but I think my dizziness is gone YAY cross your fingers! lol Good thing to cause today was bill paying day and I had lots of stuff to catch up on after being sick since Halloween! It was a very productive day considering and that makes me happy! lol

I also went and picked up a box full of Halloween/dress up stuff for the kids from a local freecycler and man I am soo excited about all the cool new stuff! I got a crown, a parasol(sp?), a blow up sumo wrestler outfit(has broken zipper but easy enough to fix), a couple of capes, a flapper type dress and all kinds of neat odds and ends! :)

Freecycle is the most awesome thing you find people close to you to kind of swap with sort of kind of in a way. lol If you have not ever heard about Freecycle or want to know more check out this site: http://www.freecycle.org/

My birthday! :)

My birthday was yesterday and it was a good day even with being sick!! :) I got to see my brother and Missy for awhile and received lots of good birthday wishes from everyone! I also got to talk to my sister finally!!! Who had tried to call me the night before to make sure she beat everyone else and was the first one to say Happy bday, but since I have been sick I was already in bed oopsss! lol
I got to cuddle with the kiddos and they gave me lots of nice pictures and cards throughout the day! Those are the best the handmade things from my babies! :) I got some good rest a 2hr nap at the end of the afternoon and we had homemade BBQ for dinner!

I got a really cute stuffed pig from my mom! hehehe To think I turned 31yrs old yesterday and my mom gives me a stuffed pig! lol I think he is my favorite gift and I named him Humphrey!
I also got the coolest pair of PJ's from my Dad, Missy and the kids check them out they are sooooo me! lol The pants are in the background and the top is pink! So this is now my new saying "I am not spoiled, I deserve all my stuff!!" LOL
Oh and I cannot forget this it is sooo cool it's a easel/picture frame! I cannot wait to figure out what photos to put inside of it! :)
Well that is enough of my tooting my own horn! I am so happy and blessed to have my family! :)

Down time!

"This week's prompt is simple. Go, spend time with your family. Do one little bitty special thing with your children or your spouse or your mother or your sibling or your pet. Even if it's just a great big extra squishy hug...do it. Enjoy your family in some small, yet tremendous moment. Then post a few words, a photo...whatever symbolizes the little joy you shared."

Wrapped Emotions button

This week has been especially challenging for me. Not only has it been Halloween and a week filled with lots of other activities, I have been really sick! I am finally today starting to feel a bit better and not having to sleep as much.

So I am going to use the cuddling time with the kids from Friday night as my Wrapped Emotion. We watched the Spongebob Halloween episodes we rented from Netflix and cuddled/tickled on the couch it was nice! I forget sometimes when things get all crazy how great it is too just sit back and relax with the kids! Sad really it takes me getting sick to slow down put things back into perspective right now!

Neighbors suck part duex

You know I am sitting here thinking "Wow I have not really heard the neighbors dogs barking as much as I used too! Makes me wonder what is happening! lol I wonder if maybe someone else said something to them! Ok so the people on our right have been here for a few yrs and they are the most obnoxious self absorbed people!!! They come in all hours of the day and night thumping there music as loud as it can be, they drive down the road really really fast I worry about my kids, the guy chases my cat out of their yard for no reason, there dog oh gosh don't get me started!!

So I am curious and wondering how do you feel about your neighbors? Do you know all your neighbors? When you moved in did you introduce yourself?

Am I the only person who does not know their neighbors and really dislikes them? lol I almost feel like it is my fault for never going over there and saying "Hi I am so and so" bleh

Leave me comments please I need advice!!!

Crispy Rice Jack-o-lantern

Crispy Rice Jack-o-lantern
Notes:This is an easy way to make a Jack-o-lantern you can eat.

Ingredients:
1 Stick Butter
2 (10 oz). Packages Marshmallows
12 C. Rice Crispy Cereal
1 tsp. Yellow Food Color
1/4 tsp. Red Food Color
Green Decorating Icing in Tube
Black Decorating Icing in Tube
Decorating Tips12 C. Bowl (not plastic)

Preparation:
Melt butter on low heat and add marshmallows. Stir marshmallows frequently. When marshmallows have dissolved, add food colors and mix well. When the marshmallow mixture is uniform in orange color add cereal and stir and mix until rice crispies are completely coated.
Pour mixture into the bowl that has been well sprayed with a non-stick spray. Carefully press down cereal (spray the spoon or your hands when pressing the cereal, this helps so the cereal will not stick). Place into the refrigerator until completely chilled and firm. When the pumpkin is chilled remove from refrigerator and invert onto a plate. Remove bowl and decorate with leaves and stem. A great jack o lantern smile will be the finishing touch.

The Jack-o-lantern makes a great centerpiece and a delightful treat. Hope you all enjoy! :)
