Braids, braids everywhere!

Check out the braids! The girls and I were messing around with our hair this weekend and we came up with this! I think it is pretty cute and the girls were really excited about it! lol

The things we do

Well Princess is still home with a fever it is kinda starting to freak me out a bit. I called the doc we may be going back in later today. So since she is home from school we are decorating the house for Halloween. We just got done tying our glow in the dark witch to the tree in the front yard! lol The tree was kinda big so we had to improvise, but it worked out. I tried not to completely tear down the spider web that is right next to the tree and managed to mess up only a small part of it! YAY!

It seems there is so much to do and no matter how much I catch up on, something takes the place of what I just did! I had to reschedule a job interview I had today so that I could stay home with Princess and while I am not upset about it I was really looking forward to going. I hope that they are ok with me having to reschedule I still have not heard back from them!

I have another interview tomorrow and a parent teacher conference those are always fun! So hopefully P's fever goes down so she can go back to school. On another note we are still looking for the boy a spooky mask that he likes one that is not too terribly scary and he can wear his glasses underneath. He is determined to get just the right one! lol

Update

P's labs came back normal! WOOHOO!! I spent all weekend worrying about her and thank god they came back normal! With the family history of Diabetes and other issues I was almost positive that it had to be one of those things! I am so glad that it is not I cannot even imagine! She is still running a hell of a fever and has been for days, but she is taking her meds and tylenol so all should be good. It is looking like she will miss her third day of school though tomorrow! She is not real happy about that let me tell you she so wants out of this house! lol

I wanted to thank all my friends who sent prayers or good vibes our way this weekend! We really needed and appreciate them bunches!

Opportunities

My princess

My Princess is sick and I am worried! She came home today from school with a 101 fever, a headache and her tummy hurt. For the last few months she has been going to the bathroom A LOT and drinking tons of water she is always thirsty. I had a parent/teacher conference a few days ago and even her teacher said to me gosh she uses the bathroom a lot and if I cannot find her I know where to look. A few weeks ago we went out and she went to bathroom like 6 times in 2hrs.

So back to today take her in and she has a UTI that is where the doc thinks the fever is coming from cause she is otherwise not sick. This is her first one so I think no problem then he says, but I would like you to take her to the children's hospital tomorrow for a few tests. He goes on further to say that her protein is really pretty high,and her white blood cell count is off enough that he is worried. We have a history of diabetes in the family so he says it could be diabetes or something might be happening with her kidneys or it could be off from the UTI. When I left though he said something that made me nervous he told me to make sure to watch her in case she got unresponsive or acting weird that I should take her immediately to the ER.

So now I sit here trying not to worry and telling myself it is only her UTI, but I cannot seem to shake this really weird feeling that something is not right. I just wanted to ask you all to send her prayers and good vibes to get better soon!

Kids, life and anyone in Houston?

Well well well how I ever got the impression that parenting would get easier the older they got is just CRAZY!!! lol Things have been nuts around my house with back talk and multiple other things to drive mommies crazy I am not sure if any of my kiddos will make it past 10yrs old!! So I have three parent teacher conferences this week, a job interview, walk to school day, another appoint, a bunch of friend's bday's and OMG what a week! Gosh and Halloween is coming and I have to search the garage for the decorations to make the kids happy. You know what though it is worth their smiling face's to get it done!

We went to the Natural History Museum today cause they opened back up and had a bunch of cool stuff going on! They have been closed all summer for fire renovations so we have been dying to be able to go! We had a great time making fossils, digging for fossils, listening to info about the Ice Age Mammals and being able to touch 30thousand yr old fossils!! We are such dorks!!!

I am going to Houston the weekend of my bday and I was curious if any of you guys in Houston would like to hang out while I am in the area!!?!?! If so send me a tell and we will get together!

P’s bday and other random thoughts!

P's bday has come and gone she is 7yrs old and I cannot figure out where the time has gone. I took cupcakes to her class as she requested and we had bagels for a snack after school. She got to pick dinner and she loved all her presents. She really is such an easy kid and I am blessed to have her and be her mommy!

We had a crazzzzyyyyy weekend although I cannot speak of it as yet. Working out has been well a bitch! I got a membership at the Y and I love it, but gosh I have to say that getting the motivation to go is well hard for me! I have really made a big difference in my lifestyle even with the little I have done, but could do soooooo much more!! I am surprised to find my body adjusting well to the changes except my feet they hurt like FRACKIN hell! I guess I need better shoes although I am really not sure what the deal is, my right foot hurts worse and I think I may be compensating for my left leg and ankle which I broke years ago.

It has been really interesting me trying to fit classes, studying, working out, seeing the kids, helping them with homework and the household chores all in lately I have to say I think I am doing well, but we all have our days! I got some fresh lemon basil from Shawn and Sharon today and I am marinating chicken with it lemon juice, honey, olive oil, pepper and garlic overnight. Tomorrow I am making lemon basil chicken, broccoli/cauliflower with cheese sauce and rice for dinner the kids are so excited! They love getting herbs from Shawn and Sharon's garden!

Marathon Kids!

I just wanted to toot my own horn for a sec! lol My kids have a program at school called Marathon kids that we have participated in the last 3yrs and today was kick off day! The kids will run a total of 26 miles throughout the school year. Two of those miles are included in the kick off day and the celebration at the end of the school year with the parents. We had a very successful mile jog/run per kid and I have to say that I am really proud of my kiddos!! Each one was able to run/jog the entire mile even Spunky it was so cool! Each grade runs by themselves the kinder-3rd runs with their parent, 4th & 5th run alone so we all had a good workout today! LOL

1) I am currently taking classes to get my GED which I should have done YEARS ago!!

2) If I had the chance, I'd sleep all day long, every day. I'm always so tired.<--------kk stealing this cause I feel the SAME way! lol

3) I am afraid of butterflies or really anything that flies!! lol

4) I am OCD about things on my desk I will rearrange and move things around until it I like the way it looks!

5) My left foot is half a size smaller than my right foot and I passed it on to at least one of my children!

8) I have a brother and sister who are the same ages as my two oldest kids!
